Hi Everyone. I am a horrible blogger (*hangs head in shame*). How will I ever actually switch to this web page if I never actually use it? Actually, I haven't updated my public site, www.itsnotamonkey.com either. Well, I have a problem. Why update that old page when I'll then have to transfer it over to this page? But, at the same time, why should I update this page, when it's not public yet because it's pretty boring looking?
With that said, I just completed transferring all posted entries from
my old site to this one as of a few minutes ago. It wasn't too hard,
but it was time consuming. I had completed my old site using my Mac's
iWeb application. It is very user friendly because it's complete
WYSIWYG. It made me look like a web site pro, except I was forced to
use their templates and forms. That wasn't too bad because there were
some decent templates, but I could only work on it when I was on my
laptop. I don't take my laptop with me always and I do have urges to
write things when I'm out and about.
That's where Movable Type (MT) comes in. Yes, I could have used blogger, blogspot, livejournal, etc. I didn't because my husband (who codes) thought MT would be a better choice. I can also update from any web connection and from my iPhone. We already had registered domain name oshimbo when we got itsnotamonkey because I originally had planned to have a personal and music site. BUT, I barely update one, so how would I have time to update two? I decided to just use oshimbo for both music and personal blogging. So, we'll have a joint page for oshimbo which will be separated into mrs.oshimbo.com and mr.oshimbo.com. I really wish Mr. Oshimbo had more time to make mine look awesome, but he's really busy. Which means I will have to learn how to do this myself. =$
I need to design how I want it to look, and design a logo for myself. I bought a drawing tablet for my MacBook and have been making some sketches that I'll have to scan and maybe they'll work to become a good representation of me. I just want this page to reflect who I am.

2> Modest Mouse show 7-Mar-2009
3> Adele 17-Mar-2009
4> Ultra Music Festival 27-Mar-2009 & 28-Mar-2009

2> Twilight reignited + Fanfiction
3> Japan Trip To-Do-List
Once I finally do all that, maybe I'll get to writing about the current randomness of my life. Maybe...let's hope I do.
