Hi My Name is Diane, and I'm addicted to Twitter

What does this mean for the millions of us addicted Twitter heads who can't write down our mundane lives in 140-Characters or less?  It means we are suffering from withdrawal.  That's what it means. 

I have questions like:

• Did @Commander_Obvious drink coffee today?
• What is the @Twilightheaded league up to?  Will @Ginger_Swan reveal her true identity?
• When will @pmablog get his new laptop and how much money did he get his users to donate for it (for the sake of keeping the blog going of course)?
• Where is Robert Pattinson at this very moment and who got the first picture? *Too many Twilight @ accounts to mention
• Did @themusicslut issue another contest for a show I can't attend because they're cool and in NYC and I'm not?
• What's the next Twilight fanfiction I should be reading?
  
• Who was the first one to notice that Twitter was down and who would have been the first to link the blog that Twitter was attacked? 
  

These are ALL very pressing things that I feel I must know.  And before you get all, "You're an addict, Twitter is dumb, you're overreacting," on me, please know this:  Twitter is as much about relationships as is Facebook or Myspace.  The difference is, Twitter people may actually know more about the real you than your "real" friends.  Twitter people have similar interests as you, tell you secrets, tell you how they really feel, share about their corner of the world, make you see things differently, will openly debate an issue, accept you for being opinionated, don't judge your faults, and listen.  They follow or you follow for any given reason and it may just be you're interesting to someone.  If you can find anyone that enjoys your "company" why is that dumb?  We all want to belong and Twitter is like my family of strangers.  They make me as happy as the actual connections I have in the real world.

So until Twitter comes back, I will use this to tweet what I would have tweeted if Twitter were up right now.

• I love having girlie conversations about clothes, designers, and perfume with coworkers.
• I feel like a kid when I eat my recently defrosted Uncrustable (I call it Crustable), but I <3 PB&J sandwiches
• FAIL WHALE...NOOOOO
• I think Jeanine or Evan will win #sytycd even though I want Brandon or Kayla to win.  =(
• I have an obsession with justifying my reasons for NOT wanting Jeanine to win #sytycd season 6.  I'm a minority on this one.
  
• At work we deal with trouble tickets involving DOS attacks all the time.  Never been the victim of one before.
  
• I miss Twitter
• I have a lot of work to do today, but want to blog instead
• My intern gave me an Enya CD....why?  He's odd, but I like him.
• It's my birthday in 10 days...what did you get me?
  
• I really want to buy that August Rush movie.  The music was beautiful.  Can Keri Russel actually play cello?
• Going to lunch...BBL

Twitter was restored around noon Thursday, 6-Aug-2009, Eastern. The universe has been aligned once more.  Happy Tweeting everyone.
