In the 90s, there was a band called Mazzy Star with lead singer, Hope Sandoval. Best known for their song, Fade Into You, they were one of those "shoegaze" type bands that looked kind of uncomfortable when performing because they seemed so shy. I always loved her voice. It seems ethereal and almost haunting. In fact, the end of The Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland has this apparition of a ghost that tells you to come back. I've always likened Hope Sandoval to that ghost. Mazzy Star made three records:

I really don't have much to say about this artist except I like the music. I recently bought Hope Sandoval's new solo album, Through The Devil Softly, but I can't say I loved it. It's pretty sleepy. I guess my Hope Sandoval magic left when Mazzy Star broke up.
